Chinese government always pays great attention on grain safety, and insists the grain-supply policy to keep the grain self-sufficiency above the 95% these years. Since 2004, the grain production has grown for 5 years. The total grain production reached 1057.4 billion catty and 800 catty per capita in 2008.

The production and demand of wheat, rice and corn is balanced and even richer, and the import and export of these 3varieties are limited, so the grain price of the domestic market is less affected by the international market.
